Noemí Segarra Ramírez is a movement artist, healer, educator and cultural organizer in the field of somatic and social practices and experimental dance in Puerto Rico who launched a dance movement/community called PISO proyecto. Noemí teams up with Las “Reinas de Santurce,” Aneek Hernández De Jesús, who integrates healing and movement and Edrimael Delgado Reyes, who delves into Afro-Caribbean lineage and Vogue, to offer a movement-based experience centered on healing and communal support across space.

The prolific writer Sarah Schulman reads “New York City, 1967” a section from her new novel-in-progress. She is the author of nineteen books including the novels The Cosmopolitans, Shimmer, After Delores, People In Trouble and Girls Visions and Everything, the nonfiction works Conflict Is Not Abuse: Overstating Harm, Community Responsibility, and the Duty of Repair, and Ties That Bind: Familial Homophobia and Its Consequences. She has also written for the stage and screen and is co-director of the ACT UP Oral History Project . Her awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Fulbright Fellowship, and two American Library Association Book Awards. She is Distinguished Professor of English at City University of New York (College of Staten Island) and a Fellow at the New York Institute for the Humanities at NYU.
