Decolonize The Pelvis: A Discussion
This program brings together Awilda Rodríguez Lora, Priscilla Marrero, and Megan Curet to discuss works rooted in Caribbean traditions. Challenging the Western colonization and gendering of the pelvis, they reclaim Afro-Caribbean forms such as Bomba, Bamboula, and Orisha dance as sites of resistance, ancestral knowledge, and embodied power.
